Born in Pennsylvania, William Seltzer Rice (1873-1963) moved to California in 1900, during the flowering of the Arts and Crafts movement. He distinguished himself as a teacher, painter, and printmaker, adopting block printing as his favorite medium. Today his watercolors and prints are in many museum collections worldwide. The twelve prints reproduced in this calendar include flowers, birds, and landscapes. 12"w x 13"h.
