Wright was introduced to the Froebel Gifts after his mother discovered them at the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial. Throughout his life Wright attested to their influence on his work. Gift 1 is made up of six colorful balls. Gifts 2-6 include 95 maple blocks. Gift 7 contains 172 thick paperboard shapes. Gift 8 is made up of 180 metal rings, half-rings and rods. Gift 9 contains 432 wooden dots in nine colors. Each set is available in beautiful wood boxes. Not for children under 3.
