12" Diameter Frank Lloyd Wright Schwartz Globe - Light Cherry.

$379.99 USD
560800

Life Magazine commissioned designs of a “Dream House” for four typical American families with incomes ranging from $2,000 to $10,000 a year; a traditional and modern architect assigned to each family. In Wisconsin, Bernard Schwartz, a Two Rivers Business Man, was ready to build a house for his family and gave Wright the opportunity to build his Life Magazine “Dream House”. Frank Lloyd Wright modified the Life Magazine plans changing the materials from stucco and stone to red tidewater cypress board and batten and red brick. Wright went on to design tables, chairs, hassocks, beds, fruit bowls, lamps and a couch with built-in bookshelves for the home.

This modern globe ball is held by a robust hardwood base and numbered die-cast meridian.  This design allows for easy 720 degree viewing of all the countries of the world (360 degrees east/west and 360 degrees north/south) including the countries in the southern hemisphere. Standing 15” tall the Frank Lloyd Wright Schwartz globes are both an attractive and functional accent piece for the home and office.

This light cherry version features a blue ocean globe ball with multi-color land masses.

Globes features an easy to read text for country, city and border demarcations.
