William Morris - Honeysuckle - Metal Bookmark

$16.95 USD
834800

William Morris started designing wallpaper fabrics in 1862 though he did not start printing and selling them until 1864. Every design has a tribute to plants or flowers delicately woven around and in between themselves to create a unique and beautiful pattern. Morris’ designs were quickly admired throughout the industry and by those who appreciate art.

His inspiration were plants observed in his gardens or on country walks, and also floral imagery in 16th-century woodcuts, illuminated manuscripts, tapestries, and other textiles.
